Personal VPS Backup is a personal utility operated by the account owner to back up servers to their own Google Drive account. It is not a publicly offered service and does not allow third-party registrations.
2. Google user data accessed
The application requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file OAuth scope. This scope is used to create, access, list, verify, and manage backup files and folders associated with this application. The tool does not request full access to unrelated files in the user's Google Drive.
3. How data is used
The application uses Google Drive access only to transfer, organize, and verify the owner's server backup archives, and to support backup maintenance and restoration. The application does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or sale.
4. Storage and security
Server backup archives are intended to be encrypted locally with age before upload. The decryption private key is retained separately by the owner and is not included in files uploaded to Google Drive. OAuth credentials are stored locally on systems controlled by the owner and are used to authenticate API requests. Google Drive stores encrypted backup archives within the owner's Google account.
5. Sharing and transfers
The application does not sell Google user data or share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Google processes and stores uploaded files as the cloud storage provider under the Google account's terms and privacy practices. No independent third-party analytics or advertising trackers are used on this website.
6. Retention and deletion
Backup files remain in the owner's Google Drive until deleted by the owner or by an explicitly configured retention process. OAuth credentials can be removed from the owner's systems, and access can be revoked from the Google Account's third-party connections page. The owner can delete backup files directly from Google Drive.
